Romeo and Juliet had it easy. Prior to the Halloween dance, Sophie figures her worst problems involve adolescent theatrics, bitchy teen yoga girls, and being on probation at her boarding school for mouthy behaviour. Then she meets bad boy Kai and gets the kiss that rocks her world. Literally. This breath stealing lip lock reawakens Sophie’s true identity: Persephone, Goddess of Spring. She’s key to saving humanity in the war between the Underworld and Olympus, target numero uno of Hades and Zeus, and totally screwed. All she's gotta do is master her powers, save the world... ...and stop kissing Kai, Prince of the Underworld. My Ex From Hell is a YA romantic comedy, Greek mythology smackdown, perfect for everyone who loves sassy girls that kick butt and the bad boys who infuriate them.

Sophie Bloom thought her life was difficult enough having to deal with her absentee mother and her parade of disposable step-dads, not to mention the uptight yoga cult her arch-nemesis Bethany leads, but when she sneaks out of school, runs into smokin' hot Kai and shares a steamy kiss that induces hullucinations her whole life goes topsy-turvy. Sophie must discover whether or not the images that flash in her head of gods and awe-inspiring powers are a trick of her imagination or memories of a past life.

The book caught my attention and I enjoyed my reading. Sophie, a regular teenager, 16 years, trapped in a school where she finds out she is a god. Persephone being her god form and Sophie being the human form. A little change of plans when Kyrillos breaks the reality in which Sophie was living. Now she has to learn how to deal with the fallout and some how get back to her reality.

The book caught my attention and I really liked the reading. I felt connected to Sophie, the way she thinks and acts, and how she felt with herself. The sarcasm is one of my favorites parts, and may because I like sarcastic people too. Sophie's revenge on Bethany was a great start and kept me reading until the meeting with Sophie's father. Good way on keeping the reader interested.
