Don Quixote (pronounced Dawn Key Hotay) Is a book about an
elderly man who has spent his time reading old books about
night and chivalry. He one day decides to leave his home and
run around Spain to perform deeds for the lovely lady
Dulcinea del Toboso. He gets along his way and eventually
figures out he needs a squire so he hires Sancho Panza, a
local peasant in Quixote's village. Sancho and his master
set out across Spain and do noble deeds that Quixote makes
up in his head. Since Quixote has gone a little mad and sees
things differently he mistakes a lot of things for ficticous
creatures. In one scene it describes him attacking windmills
thinking they were giants (for example). So you follow the
Knight with the Face in a Sorry State (Quixote) and his
Squire through Spain on a journey to win the love of the
noble lady Dulcinea del Toboso, while you laugh at the odd
deeds they perform to do so.

Opinion:

In my opinion the book was excellent. I laughed the whole way through as things were
mistaken for actual creatures. The book was written
orginally as a Spanish tale for children so alot of the
places in names are written as Spanish because they don't
translate to English. I reccomend you get some help on the
names if you want to pronounce them right but if you dont it
doesn't take away from an amazing book. It is very comical
and interesting even though it was written for little
children. The illustrations also added to the comic and
interest value of the book. The illustrations helped add to
the understanding of the book and recommend it for ages 10
and up.
