Pack and Sydney are back in Learning from the Dead.  When we last left our heroes, their quest to save Mrs. Wamdoffer and find out if Pack is the real Kylxon had hit a little bump in the road. Now they are ready to get back on track and find out what really happened in the deal between Mrs. Wamdoffer and Mr. Memmer. One long bus ride later, they find themselves in the town of Crosswater. It takes them a while, but they finally track down Mrs. Wamdoffer. She welcomes them with a warm-hearted smile, but when they start to question her, they can’t help but wonder whether she is telling the truth or not. There is no way to know if she is lying, or is there? With the help of the shoes, Sydney, and some old-fashioned sleuthing, will Pack be able to solve the mystery?

Opinion:

Learning from the Dead was an amazing book to continue the Kylxon Chronicles. I loved that the characters were fleshed out more from last book and have become even more likeable. The plot of this series is unlike anything I have read before, and it is thrilling to follow. My favorite part in the book was when Pack, with help from the shoes, escaped a really tough situation using skills like acrobatics. The themes of friendship, teamwork, and doing what you think is right were prevalent throughout the book. I would recommend this book to anyone who has read the first book, as this would be very tough to understand without having read it. Those who like action, adventure, and mystery would also enjoy this series.
