In How to Date An Alien: My Alien Romance, Alex is a high school student. The story takes place in the summer before her senior year. During an interview with a Columbia college recruiter, she says she has an internship at Circe, the Air Force base where her dad works. The story takes place during this internship at Circe that her father gets her. When Alex arrives, she discovers that Circe is in fact an alien operations center. She is attacked by an alien, but is saved by another alien, who she later learns to be Ace.

Shadow Fall is written in a dystopian world where people are stratified into specific groups. The elite are classified as the gold, the middle class belong in the silver, the bronze whom are considered the poor are at the bottom of this social hierarchy, and the Chosen, whom are a small group of people whose sole purpose is to change the world from the impending asteroid that will kill millions.
The book caught my attention and I enjoyed my reading. Sophie, a regular teenager, 16 years, trapped in a school where she finds out she is a god. Persephone being her god form and Sophie being the human form. A little change of plans when Kyrillos breaks the reality in which Sophie was living. Now she has to learn how to deal with the fallout and some how get back to her reality.
