Leo’s Lion is about a boy named Leonardo and his uncle, Leonardo Da Vinci. He is not very happy when his parents send him to his uncle's house to learn more about the world, art, astronomy, and more. While they are on their way to his home, Uncle Leonardo decides that Leonadro should be called Leo so there will be less confusion due to their shared name. Then they almost get robbed by people on horseback. Leo and his uncle are able to ward them off with quick thinking and armory; this is the start of a great adventure for both of them.

When they finally arrive at Leonardo’s house, he shows Leo all of his inventions, except for one. This invention is very special to him. It is going to the King of France to symbolize peace. However, some people do not want peace and they will go to great lengths to stop him from delivering it. Can Leo and his uncle present the project to the King of France without a hitch, and still survive?

Opinion:

This is a very good book because of the many adventures Leo and his uncle take, including their buggy ride to Leonardo's house and a meeting with a stone carver. I like how Leo completely changes his mindset in the story; he goes from annoyed at being there to excited at what is to come next. The plot's set up is amazing, the events flow right into each other. You never know what’s going to happen next or what trouble they are going to get into. Uncle Leonardo is a bit unpredictable at times and you never know what’s going to come out of his decisions. I would recommend this book to almost everyone.
