I don't think that I have ever come across a case where I thought a movie was better than the original book, but that's just my opinion! However, I think that The Perks Of Being A Wallflower movie was just as good as the book, and apart from a few cut scenes, it was a wonderful screen adaptation of that book. The Hunger Games was quite an amazing adaptation as well! I absolutely hated the film version of The Help, but I saw it right after reading the book. If you don't compare it to the book, it would be a good movie, but in comparison, it is always hard to favor the movie. I am deeply passionate about both cinema and literature, so I try to have an open mind! For instance, I loved both the Harry Potter books and movies (although when given the choice I always say the books are better), even though there were definitely some major plot points and overall aspects that I wish they had incorporated into the movies. I think that in most cases, the books win.
